Automated Answering Phone Service

In order to improve the flow and efficiency of phone calls to the practice, from the beginning of April we have been using an automated answering phone service. When ringing the practice it is necessary to stay on the phone line and listen to the whole of the message in order to use the service successfully and speak to the appropriate person.

The message you will hear is as follows:

“Welcome to Mendip Country Practice.
If your situation is life threatening, hang up and dial 999.
If you are ringing for test results, please call after midday.
Otherwise please choose from the following options:
For home visits or appointments, press 1
For dispensary, press 2
For the medical secretary, press 3
Or hold to speak to a receptionist.”

We would like to thank our patients for their co-operation in adjusting to the new system in order to move forward with the times and progress.
